My aim is to keep things simple, contribute to the smooth-running of your day, and deliver images you never want to stop looking at.
I don't come with a huge amount of equipment and I use natural light as much as possible. This enables me to melt into the proceedings and capture stolen glances and fleeting expressions, which might otherwise be camera shy.
My style is mostly candid and natural (also referred to as 'journalistic', 'documentary' or ‘reportage’), but I believe a few group shots are a vital keepsake. I will also steal away with the bride and groom where possible for a few informal newlywed portraits - often your first time alone as husband and wife, so a precious chance to catch your breath together, and regularly the pictures that make the mantlepiece.
I enjoy so much capturing people's raw energy, emotions and expressions, and am truly honoured to be chosen and entrusted with this responsibility on your special day. Consequently I put a great deal of thought and care into curating a very personal set of lifelong memories for you to treasure.
Post production is half of my work - it is where I turn your moments into a series of art. I aim to make every image count; every photo to speak on its own as well as a within a combined narrative, enabling you to re-live it all whenever you wish.
I would love to tell the story of your day - please see my contact, example galleries and pricing below. For any bespoke requests or further information you require, I would be delighted to hear from you.
Testimonials
“We were so lucky to have Katie as our official wedding photographer. The whole process was seamless from the moment we decided to work with her to the delivery of the final images. Katie is kind, professional and has a unique eye. Her experience in the field meant she knew exactly what questions to ask us to guarantee we would get the shots we wanted of our special day. Her photography perfectly captured our wedding day with many candid and raw emotional moments. She is also incredibly personable and was a pleasure to interact with during the day. Our guests found her both charming and discreet. As a bride I was barely aware of having a camera pointed at me and was able to fully enjoy the day, and then receive wonderful photographs to relive the experience just a few weeks later.”

Second Photographer
There are many reasons this can be a beneficial and practical option on the day. If your wedding party is particularly large or your venue is split into sections and you don’t want a moment missed, then this is the way to get fuller coverage. (For weddings over 120 guests I do recommend a 2nd photographer). Alternatively, it could be that the bride & groom are getting ready in separate locations or perhaps you’d simply like to have multiple viewpoints of your walk down the aisle. This can be arranged to suit your needs - for the whole day or part of it. Price will depend on the variable factors (time, location etc.). Let’s discuss.
Personalised Albums
These can also be ordered in advance or retrospectively. Please enquire.
